The Best Apps for Editing + Scheduling Your Instagram Posts

Lately, I have been obsessed with Instagram. I've been working really hard to revive my account and grow my following and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

With over 400 million users, Instagram is one of the biggest social media platforms out there and is definitely where the cool kids are hanging out.

A lot of thought goes into each photo, caption and hashtag posted. Keeping a theme and sticking to it is a challenge let alone actually taking the photos and editing them.

So, I've got some must-have apps (and a killer discount code) that will lead you to Instagram greatness! 📷

The Best Apps For Editing Scheduling Your Instagram Posts | There are so many Instagram apps out there - it can get a little confusing. If you're a blogging, creative biz owner or entrepreneur, you're gonna want to learn about my must-have Instagram apps! Click through to find out about my favourite apps AND get a great discount too!

Afterlight is my go-to editing app. I've had it for a few years now and I couldn't post without it. Yes, Instagram's in-app editing is good enough as it is but Afterlight has an extra layer of editing goodness. With all kinds of filters and features, you can edit your photo precisely how you envisioned it.

Along with the standard filters that come along with the app, there are additional filters you can purchase. I haven't felt the need to buy any more as the ones included are already brilliant enough.

I use this app for every photo I upload and don't see myself stopping any time soon! I tend to use it more for the colouring aspect of photos along with editing the brightness. Afterlight does a great job of turning dim photos into bright Insta-worthy snaps.

Ever been one of those people who uploads a photo to Instagram and then immediately deletes it because it doesn't 'fit in' with your theme? Well then you'll LOVE my new-found favourite app! Planoly is the best way to schedule your photos on Instagram. The best thing about it is that you can upload a new photo to the app to see what it will look like on your feed. It's literally amazing.

If you're happy with it you can schedule the photo with the caption - this doesn't automatically post it to Instagram for you but sets a reminder on your phone to post. When the alarm goes off, Planoly copies your caption for you, sends the photo to Instagram and all you need to do is click paste and post and you're done!

✨ If you're interested in using this magical app, you can download it for free with a 15 day free trial. But wait! I have managed to get you guys a great discount on their monthly and annual rates. Just use the code 'zoelinda' when you sign up and you'll get 50% off the first 2 months on any monthly plan or 10% off any annual plan! Amazing! Just sign up here! ✨

P.S. Since writing this blog post, I've written a more detailed post about how I use Planoly to plan my Instagram feed. Read it over here!

Whitagram is the best app out there for creating photos with a white background. Want your landscape/portrait photo to fit in the typical square format of Instagram? Just pop it into Whitagram and let the app do all the work. You can even add text and icons onto photos as well as changing the background colour from white to pretty much any colour!

I used this app much more in the days on Instagram where every photo had to be square - now you can upload any type of photo, it's not something I use so much. However, it is handy for making sure you stick to a particular theme if you want to have borders to your photos.

And finally we come to Instagram's own editing app; Layout. This is the must-have app for fitting multiple photos into one. You can flip and mirror images to create beautiful patterns or you can simply add in a few photos to illustrate one day/events on your feed. There are all kinds of layouts you can choose from and the more photos you add, the more choice you get! You can also add borders to photos too as well as rearranging the pics within the layout once you've chosen it!

I don't use this app too much as it doesn't really fit into my theme (which I hate saying out loud) but it really is the best app out there for arranging your photos into one pretty pic!
